Did you see the report in the Daily Mail that officials of the Tour de France have, allegedly, banned Chris Froome from sleeping in his "campervan" as it would give him an "unfair advantage".
They claim that it would amount to "unfair competition" because he would be getting a peaceful night's sleep. (should have been on some of the campsites that we have stayed on)
He has been told that he must sleep in hotels instead.
The International Cycling Union claim that a long, peaceful sleep in his own bed would give him an unfair advantage the next morning over other cyclists forced to toss and turn in uncomfortable beds in noisy hotels (according to the Brussels newspaper Het Nieuwsblad.)
