The gas locker has always had a barrel missing On one side since we got the van . It’s still secure but it’s a pain to have it stick a screwdriver in the one side to open the locker . I’ve got a new barrel and key but can’t get it to “sit “ in the barrel slot . Has anyone replaced one of those before. Any advice please ?

thank you ! I thought the red key was for removal. Didn’t know I needed one to fit it lol .
I will get one ordered 👍🏻

Remove the old barrel, check new barrel is exactly the same. Spray with WD40. Try to insert the new barrel with key inserted in various positions with a light push and wiggle, it should slide in.
I have a red key as well. I haven't changed one for a while. Best advice is to regularly spray inside your motorhome lock barrels with WD40 as the rain water gets in and they seize.

The OP stated that the barrel has always been missing so difficult to check for similarities. :giggle:
