Firestick for TV - how much Mb does it use?

And you need a VPN
As I understand it apps like iplayer require you to be in the UK to stream programmes. I was under the impression that if I have a UK SIM (like the one I have from IQ Go and in our phones) and using its roaming capabilities I will be able to get iplayer etc. Is that still correct? If not do I need a VPN and if so how do I go about getting it please?

We just plugged in the Firestick from our house and haven’t changed any settings. I use a 150GB Free (that’s the name of the company) SIM in France for €20 a month.
We’ve never run out of data.
Can we just use campsite internet if on a campsite?

Possibly for social media, WhatsApp etc. Personally I would not use it for any banking transactions. Very unlikely you will successfully stream video/tv because the available bandwidth is almost certainly being shared amongst too many users logged-on. Even if the campsite WiFi has enough bandwidth available to support a video stream, if you are abroad you will need a VPN to fool the UK TV Broadcaster into thinking you are in the UK because of performing rights issues.
