This question is more for future years than this one, I think!
It can be a good idea to plan trips around events e.g. air shows, steam fairs, food festivals. These are mainstream events that come to mind. So what about the ones that aren't so familiar? How do you know about them if they're not your special interest area or maybe in your local area? For instance I know about the Bristol balloon festival but it wouldn't otherwise occur to me to think "hmm I think I'll see if there are any balloon festivals going on this year".
I'm sure we can't be the only ones who've turned up somewhere the day after a good event finished.
So, any tips to identify UK events large/small of any and all types?

Most local authorities have an events section , or use Google easy to find balloon festivals or kite festivals etc most societies will have a web page and calender

Thanks Vanderek I was thinking more along the lines of finding random events as inspiration for where to go. For Google search I'd need to know what I was looking for   we'd like to ring the changes a bit. But I guess another approach is to decide on location then check for local 'what's on' info (y)

The Vintage Nostalgia Festival at Stockton park in Wiltshire is worth a look at, if it is your kind of thing, with pre-booked camping. It is in June 2021 if things are allowed again this year.

That's exactly the type of thing we'd like so 'vintage' would be a good search term (y)

Search for "UK festivals" perhaps.
(you'll probably be invited to buy one from somewhere, though)

As well as some festivals mentioned here https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...ks-for-dates-for-diaries.226922/#post-4086082 here are some other events with camping popular with Funsters:

The Black Country museum ( good at any time) do events- as do Bletchley Park. Butster ancient farm is on my Go To list for next year - they do workshops. Confetti fields have open days, good for photo experiences . Enjoy xx
