We are near Nancy and having baked for a week now, rain woke us up this morning and thunderstorms are expected. Dentist calls for me this morning unfortunately though as i have toothache and he has been recommended by a fellow brit here on the Aire. No standing under a cold shower anymore to get cool methinks.

Same here, Pont a Mousson (just North of you), and it’s a nice change.

Was that Frankie? I haven't heard from her for ages! We were near Gray Wednesday and it was the same there, came north for cooler weather but same here.

I can't tell you about the babies as I was off work due to an operation. But I can tell you the mending was not really helped with those so very high temperatures. As I am out of town I was a tad under the 45°. Still 42° were not low for sure!
I am back to work today and I still feel quite tired. Fortunatly it's cooling down , and drizzle helps.
I wish I had had 2 or 3 more days off to recover from the heat.

Wishing you well in your recovery, hoping for more drizzle for you and that the little ones don’t tire you out.
