Fiat recall for pipe clips

Anyone else had the recall from fiat about the pipe clips, my brother took his today took a day off work to sort it and took fiat garage 30 seconds to check it and tell him all ok you can go now
This is a picture of the clips they only replace them if they are broken

Yes ours went in today ... a day off work (holiday) for a 30 second check at a garage an hour away.

Stupid isnt it, i have cancelled my appointment for march as checked them and all is fine it just means it will stay on the fiat computer until i get round to calling in a fiat garage when i am almost passing one at a later date

When I booked mine in they discovered that there was another recall on the throttle box that needs parts ordering so it might be a longer job.

Problem could be if you do have issues will your insurance cover you as part of the T&C's probably say you have to maintain it etc....

It seems like my brother has circled the wrong clip in the original picture it is infact the brake pipes clip see below

Just checked mine and clip has either come open or broken so will now be taking it in to be replaced

I was only going to cancel the appointment for now to avoid making a special trip and was going to call in when passing a fiat dealership at a later date, i did not mean i would not bother at all

Mine is booked in for middle of March. They said there are loads that they have looked at and booked in to be looked at so very busy, Northampton Northern Commercials. They said most are a quick check and on your way....some need work so would advise getting sorted...peace of mind and all that!!

Just checked mine and clip has either come open or broken so will now be taking it in to be replaced

Just be aware that if you follow the path of the brakeline there are 3 identical clips, so if the one in the photo is suspect there is no reason to suspect the other two wont be as well and hence worth checking as it only takes a few seconds. Mine were all OK so as stated above I will keep an eye on them and take it in when convenient.

Mine is a Ducato 130 Euro6. Received notice this morning. Took 30 seconds to check, assuming orange arrow above is in fact correct

Had my letter from Fiat today BUT the, sometimes maligned Lowdhams, had picked up on it when my van went in for service and damp check at the beginning of January.

I had a letter, took to a fiat professional garage, checked and no problem.

I have since had two more letters...... talk about blanket coverage....
