Rimor Koala 48 - Bought the 31 handle thinking I may have a problem, but not being able to find the measurement for the inside fixing bracket anywhere. Lo and behold it doesn’t fit. I’d really like something like this fitting, am I going to struggle with that space being so small? Anyone fitted anything with similar situation?

I had to use one with a smaller space required inside.

I have the older Milenco inside/outside lock, but have it above head height as it doesn’t fit lower down. That also makes it a bit more difficult to destroy as it is more obvious to onlookers! Madam likes it locked at night!

My theory is that a lock will only keep out an honest thief! Leave no valuables and let them have a rummage and leave an old wallet on the side with a tenner in it. Result in their eyes and little damage done

Since 2008 & many years tugging
You really don't want to fit one of those, a friend had one, van got broken into £3000 damage, they pulled the fixings through the body & stole 2 CD's.

I also made the mistake of buying a Milenco frame fixing lock for the hab door such as the one shown below.
Luckily I didnt get arround to fitting it, as whilst on a Fun rally, a really helpful funster pointed out its weakest link....as it locks from the outside only, it just sign posts to all that there is no one inside the van! Doh! was my 1st reaction!
Reminds me I really must sell it one day, boxed up, unused.

many many years! since I was a kid
The only things they are good for are the confidence (false) of the owner that they are safe, and a flag to any would be thief that the van is probably unoccupied if during the day. They take seconds to overcome and cause massive damage. Then you have to think that plastic windows are even easier to open in seconds. Both security flaws would ruin your holiday by causing serious damage to the van

You can see my Milenco lock at the top of the door; you would need a crowbar to pull it out. Would it be worth it?

It amazes me as why they would go through the door when the plastic windows pull off very easily.
