I am only familiar with the Fiamma tie down awning straps but know the Thule channel is on the inside as opposed to the outside of the rail head so to use them it would mean tension pulling under the bottom of the rail.

I also know that the Thule ones fit over the top of the leg tops as apposed to in the channel But not specifically how they attach.

So the question is will the Fiamma ones be safe to use with a Thule canopy. I would simply buy new Thule ones but it is hard finding them in stock, I have found a set of replica ones that fit the correct way which is a consideratio.

If I anticipated weather such that I felt it necessary to tension the straps so much that it might damage the channel I'd wind in the awning.

We use the Fiamma tie down straps from our previous motorhome on our Thule awning. Instead of using the metal clip that goes into the channel, we have a couple of metal “S” shaped hooks that go over the top of the legs. We got the “S” hooks at a DIY store. Hope this helps.

This is a replica of the thread very recently "Awnings and Wind"
You may get some pointers to your query there

I use ordinary ratchet straps hooked over the top of the legs. Seem to work fine, much cheaper and available in a variety of colours.

Not that you asked for alternatives but I recommend you having a look at Peggy Peg, their peg sets as well as tie downs seem really great - we're ordering ourselves some as soon as our shop gets their stock re-supplied.
