Anyone any tips for where best to source flagpole/flag?
And any tips on size or best way to fix the pole whether using a stake or under the wheel?
Appreciate it's not everyone's cup of tea but useful light hearted way of finding our way home in a sea of homes

:welcome4:
Saw these guys at Dorset Steam Rally. Got most of what you might want and prices seemed fair.
www.flagseller.co.uk

I use a stake myself but many options are available

Bought my 7.5m stiff fishing poles and 15mm glass fibre stakes from
https://lifebreeze.co.uk/
who often attend motorhome shows with a good selection of flags and poles etc.

Whichever flag you get, just be very careful. Remember what happened 40 years ago when someone planted a foreign flag on British sovereign soil :Eeek: ;) 🇦🇷

Another vote for Lifesabreeze.co.uk. My flexible extendable flag pole is from them.
My main flagpole is stainless steel, in metre sections, and fits on the tow bar. That was made for me by PP Tuning in Louth.

I've got this one along with the ground stake. Held up well in high costal winds no issue even when I'm flagging two.
They sell flags as well.
Great company never had a issue and quick to send stuff out.

The last place we went to once on our pitch It become clear we'd been surrounded by Lancastrians. They soon got the message when the official Yorkshire and West Riding flags got flying. Which quickly got followed by another west riding flag a few vans down :giggle:

I just cable tie mine to the bike rack and use one of the bike holders to clamp it.
Brave mentioning flags poles on here usually get a right going over.

I have a pole with a Dragon clipped to the top ... probably a daft question but how would I attach a flag to that without it slipping all over the place? Flags appear to come with x2 holes (eyelets) that are supposed to help! 🤷‍♂️

You can buy short bungees with a big plastic ball on it.

It goes through the eyelets

Bungees never really work that well I’ve found. Cable ties are a much better option and an easier one.

I've been using festival flag poles of various kinds since Reading Rock 1973.
This is my most recent version, a very modest 9 metre number. Video too big to attach here.
