Are there any ferries direct to Gothenburg from the UK?

DFDS. We’ve traveled back from Gothenburg to Immingham twice pre-Covid in our Amarok adventure camper after Scandinavian touring and not wanting to go back via the Hook. It has to be booked through one of the ferry agents not with DFDS, we used Directferries. We found it very relaxing compared to the passenger ferry - only 12 cabins, drivers lounge etc.

I thought they stopped a lot longer ago than that. I used go on Tor Lines Felixstowe to Gothenberg, then they changed it to Harwich.

DFDS scraps Newcastle-Gothenburg line

Danish shipping company DFDS Seaways is to scrap the only passenger ferry route between Sweden and Britain, with the axing of the Gothenburg-Newcastle route at the end of October.
