Well after looking at the cost of a ferry to spain we decided to go to france £104 one way for a 9m on dfds through the camc website which was £35 cheaper than dfds own site and hopefully into germany maybe the mosel river or possibly the black forest. This is in mid august (dont need to be back into blighty till the end of october) after our tour around some areas of the uk I've always wanted to do.
All suggestions are welcome even the rude one 🤣.

Lovely area, with plenty of lovely Aires on the mosel, we found the black forest a bit busy and cimmercialised.

Be warned though, that time if year can be incredibly hot.

We did this last year and a fantastic time, so good in fact we are planning to return in September; enjoy

After pottering along the Mosel, pop over to the Rhine at Loreley at Camping Loreleyblick. Then go south to Rothenburg am de Tauber. South again to lake Chiemsee , then to Berchesgarden and Eagles Nest, then along the Austrian border west visiting the fabulous gorge at Garmish-Patenkirchen, Schloss Neuschwanstein at Füssen, the Rhine falls and then start back north to the Black Forest.
I can send you more description and photos if you PM me with your email address.

Riverbankannie thank you for your kind offer. I have sent you my email.
