Just been advised ferry not getting into Santander until 20:00.
Didn’t want to drive in the dark on the first day can we overnight in the port or is there a safe place close by to stopover.

We are waiting to board the Pont Aven in Plymouth. Was supposed to leave at 1.30pm and arrive at 8pm. Not leaving until 18.40 and arriving 00.40am. What ferry are you on?

I hope your not going to Santander as we are hopefully in same que to Roscoff, told be well after midnight, most likely will now park it top car park, just ask when you get off, where you can park overnight because ferry is late and you won’t get where you need to, there are a couple of free aires around Roscoff.

I’m on this Sunday’s sailing too.

Well cheesed off.

Hoping to be allowed to stay in the Port for the night as the aires in the area will be full by the time we get there. Having said that, the road in front of the aire was being used by motorhomes last year so we will try there if kicked out of the port.

I suppose a free lunch or a contribution voucher from BF is too much to ask for this serious inconvenience.

(The reason given by BF on our notification was technical and not weather related.)

If it’s weather related why expect compensation if any description? They are making decisions based on safety and comfort, so as long as you can park up either side to ensure your safe to drive then enjoy the rest.
Weather not mentioned in their notification. Technical!

If you are Bilbao way on A8 there's a motorway ' camper area de descanso" about 20 mins from the port. it's huge , dark and usually lonely but very convenient for an early start
