PORTLAND - A California couple and several children were not injured after their motorhome burst into flames.
It happened Sunday at Southeast Powell Boulevard and 99th Avenue. The parents say they were on their way from Palm Springs to Canada with several children.
"It was burning out the back. Thank God we got the kids out. We have 10 kids. Four of our own and six of our friends," said owner Bob Finegan.
With 120 gallons of furl and a propane tank, firefighters had to act quickly. All lanes of Powell Boulevard were closed until the fire was out.
The owners say the motorhome was worth $450,000. They say they do have insurance.
