Failed the MOT on a frayed handbrake cable!

People grumble about the MOT but a reasonably priced annual safety check seems like a great idea to me. And I know it’s far from perfect!

had a couple of handbrake cables fail on cars in for mot,

We have had cables snap in the rollers along with brake pipes bursting too, i always tell the customer its better happening in the workshop than whilst doing 60 mph down the road,never had one disagree yet
