Did you see it on ITV4 last night, a very good history of Triumph.

Tonight, 21:00 it's the turn of Norton.

And tonight was Ducati.

Mr Cole gets up my nose but these three programs have been very good indeed. No doubt available on catch-up somewhere.

Missed tonight's offering but watched the Norton last night....
Any wonder the Brit bike industry floundered.

Developers designed the featherbed frame, the greatest thing to come from Norton.....then stick a four year old engine in it.
That engine was only a revamp of a very very old design in itself.

While the Brits were still turning out vertical twins Soichiro Honda was turning out inline 6 cylinder 250 machines.

Vertical twins with 360 degree cranks and no balance shaft no less :xgrin:. It's no accident that Honda designed the best-selling motorcycle ever made.

Well that`s our 13th year & still loving it.
Vertical twins with 360 degree cranks and no balance shaft no less :xgrin:. It's no accident that Honda designed the best-selling motorcycle ever made.

And The the oldest and longest run of continuous Motorcycle building is actually The Royal Enfield and not Triumph.
