European gas bottles..

I would rather trust myself filling my own bottle than be parked next to some of the diy gas installed refillable systems !!!!!!!
That may the case for you. However, mine are professionally fitted and tested every 12 months. Besides bordering on illegal, refilling calor type cylinders is ludicrously dangerous. I worked many years in the gas industry (not calor but we did have various size cylinders filled by them) and the safety aspects that you can give is as close as smoking whilst filling with petrol.

We have the best of both as we also purchase Calor if needed in large bottles as that is cheaper than autogas .
Check what qualifications the many professional fitters of Gaslow etc have (y)
And you've got qualifications to refill Calor type cylinders?

Just in case you missed my reply, I hope you're not suggesting that mine are not professionally fitted?

, looking at Spain the lpg is available only in large urban areas and nasty tourist areas so I would go for local bottles as they are cheaper and very easily available everywhere.

But if the Op struggles with 6kgs in his locker he won't get 12,5 normal size repsol or cepsa on & if he goes for the new type 6kg the gas cost is far higher.

I was talking to a German couple today & they sid they have their German bottles refilled anywhere including repsol & Cepsa depots.

Refillable is what you need, last summer we passed through 10 different countries during a 5 mouth 17km trip, never had a single problem topping up....and thats just a point to seriously consider, with Gaslow, Gasit or whatsit, you dont need to wait until its empty, just top up when you see an outlet.
