I was going to upgrade my RAC Arrival to European cover, but noticed that they don’t recover the vehicle back to the U.K.
They recover to a garage, and would give you a hire car for the onward journey.

Do any of the breakdown services recover back to the U.K.?
Any recommendations?

I think they will recover back to the UK if it can't be repaired locally.

I've got RAC Arrival cover.

I'm with Saga, they recover back to uk.

I’ve just had a quick look through and couldn’t see that in any of their bullet points. I would go with the RAC if that was the case

I think some of them state that if the cost of repair exceeds the value of the vehicle, they will not repatriate the vehicle?

Not sure if you can magnify and read this, the details in section H4 outline recovery back to the UK.

Edit - I've added a second bigger image from the relevant terms and conditions in the handbook.

I have just taken out a single trip policy with the RAC. They haven't updated their vehicle database with the DVLA recently so my private plate on the van reg was bringing up the previous vehicle so I had to ring them. Very glad I did!
I was expecting to pay £64.30 for their Comprehensive cover but, whilst RAC Sean was going through his spiel, he mentioned that it only covered one call out whilst abroad. Knowing how things can go wrong, if we had an intermittent or repeating fault, that could get expensive, So I panicked and went for their Comprehensive Plus policy which gives unlimited call outs.
I ended up paying £102.87 which is a lot more than I had budgeted for.
I mentioned that if I had purchased online through Top Cashback I would have got a 20% cashback and he immediately said he could match that! So the prices I mention above are the discounted ones. I just wonder how much flexibilty he had and whether if I had said 30% cashback he would have matched that.
However, it looks to be a really good policy and certainly gives me peace of mind - at a cost.
