I’ve been advised by Tayna Batteries to get an Enduroline battery to replace my ageing starter battery. I just wondered if any of the good people on here have had any experience of this brand , good or bad ?

I think it's their own brand. I got their cheaper own brand one for my mini it didn't last long at all but I abused it and it was very cheap. I've bought another the same as I recon it's my fault!

i have just bought 1 of their enduroline 100ah starter batteries not had it long enough to establish good or bad but Tayna are a reputable battery dealer so i am hoping all will be well..

It does come with a 5 year warranty so they must trust them.
Mind you , we run a fleet of Ford rangers at work which have a massive long term warranty and Boy do they need it !

Is it the 019 model ( whatever that means ) as that’s what they’ve recommended to me . Also did you use their fitting service ?

I currently have one in my Volvo, my MH as the engine battery and have previously used two of the enduroline leisure batteries in my previous MH, a AT Cheyenne 740. All worked well and are lasting well. I would suggest the 019 EFB. Feel free to PM me if you want more info.

it is an 019 and no i did not its simple task especially if you have another vehicle and a set of jumper leads then you have no issues with loss of any settings

Ok thanks . I have another vehicle with an almost new Banner battery in so could use that.
Another question if you don’t mind , ours has all sorts of connections and metal plates on the battery which look a bit complicated . How did you tackle that ?

This might be a useful read?

you only need undo the main clamps at the neg first then pos the whole unit on the pos with then come off complete.

this is what i did...
removed the floor cover,
removed the battery clamp
PUT the NEW battery in the cab ready to lift into place.
connect jumper leads from your car the the under bonnet jump start point on the van. ( this will supply power to the van while you change the battery.
remove the vent pipe from the old battery and one of the red vent bungs in the new battery ( make sure its the correct side )
disconnect the neg lead and secure away from the battery area.
when you lift the black cover off the pos terminal block you will see a red plastic stip with 2 screws in those screws need removing before undoing the clamp.
remove the main Pos clamp and secure it away from the battery area ( i covered it in a Jiffy envelope as a double safety measure.

lift old battery out
put new battery in and attach the vent pipe then reconnect in the reverse order, remember the red strip and 2 screw.

when reconnected safely disconnect the jumper leads to the car .

apologies if this is too prescriptive.

That's the brand I normally end up buying from them. Never had any problems. At least none that are the fault of the battery rather than abuse or a dodgy "smart" charger that used to trip out occasionally and then run the battery down until it reached 2V.

Thanks for that Phil. I hadn’t thought of using the connections under the bonnet .

Had Enduraline batteries in cars they have been fine.
Needed a new starter battery in the Motorhome last month bought a Yuasa 5000 as it had a higher CCA rating of 900 amps, got it from Halfords as they were cheapest at £105.
