50 years of boating, just one on motorhomes.
I will start by saying sorry, this is going to be the first of many I am sure. New motorhome owner asking dull questions.

We have just purchased a ten year old Bavaria T71LP which has an electric drop down bed. When it is fully 'down' (the motor stops making a noise and it stops moving) and I attach the ladder, the bottom of the ladder it about an inch off the floor. Whilst this is entertaining, it makes it far too acrobatic to go to bed. I assume there is an adjustment somewhere but I cant see it. Unfortunately the van did not come with the owners manual, but given my understanding of French I am not sure that would have helped.

Any help would be much appreciated

Here is a suggestion that works to reset the top position.
Not sure if it also sets the lower position too.
Others on here may have a better idea.

Try holding both the raise and lower buttons together at the same time. On my Pilote this resets the limits and makes the bed raise above the normal position, keep the buttons pressed and it will lower again into the correct position and bleeps 3 times.

Is there anything that could be stopping this coming down so as the ladder reaches the floor? Take everything off the bed and check the runners each side to make sure it’s not just stopping on something.
We have an electric drop down and twice now it wouldn’t come fully down, once was because sheet got caught and second because we had 12v in a socket which it was stopping on🤔
Just a few thoughts 🤷‍♀️

thanks for the bed instruction.
I have a 2017 Rapido and collected various unofficial instructions, including one that says to hold the "middle" button for six seconds.
Sometimes a bit of "P" ing about is required with con fused controls normaly sorted by going home and switching it off and repeating before trying to bring it down to used positions. Before bringing it all the way down remove all possible obstructions including seat cushions (just in case it comes too low).

On ours the pushing of the buttons to get it into programming mode have to be done slowly so takes a few attempts to get into programming mode.

We only find we need to adjust if the leisure batteries lose charge and it forgets.

we seem to have less problems as time goes on, and i remember to switch off after use.

I don’t bother to program the bed, just hold the button and stop the bed wherever I want it.

Thanks everyone. I feel very stupid now, remove the cushions from the seats underneath the bed and, like magic, it works properly! However, the instructions were great as I have now managed to reset the 'up' position winning me another inch of headroom.

Made me smile - we have a drop down bed which has hardly ever been used. Needed to use it the other week so dropped it down having removed all the cushions etc you need to remove, and had precisely the same prob with the ladder.

Trouble was actually the flagpole!

We have a portable telescopic flagpole. Between uses it resides, in its tube, upon that bed. No prob. Pete had taken it off the bed, and stood the tube in the footwell out of the way - but it had leant towards the side and was thus fouling the wooden side of the ruddy bed!
