When I was looking to buy an electric bike in 2016 I weighed well over 20 stone, so did a lot of careful research to identify one that was suitable for the heavier bloke. I eventually settled on a Batribike Diamond Pro and ordered it in April.

It was used in the van for that season with my wife Sue having an electric trike (she really is useless on 2 wheels!) and in that time covered the huge distance of 29.5 miles. Then Sue was diagnosed with a form of cancer that involved her having a series of operations that meant she couldn’t get on a saddle again so the trike was sold and my Batribike mothballed. The battery was regularly charged but it hasn’t been used since 2016 so effectively it’s "as new".

It’s a super, solid and good looking bike that was bought just as throttles were being outlawed so it has one! It has 7 speed Shimano gears, lights, speedometer on the display, 5 levels of assist as well as throttle, folding pedals and a few accessories I can throw in like helmet, gloves, lock and pump. As you can see hopefully from the photos there isn’t a mark on it I can find and it cost over £1,000 so I thought half price of £575 would be fair to ask?

I should have said of course it's a perfectly good bike for a person of a more normal stature as well!
