Editing post oddity

It doesn't always happen, but sometimes if I go back to edit a post the original text does not appear

after a couple of these events where I didn't bother making the change, I tried 'more options' and the text then appeared and I could edit it normally

not the end of the world, just odd, and no doubt just me

and totally unrelated as far as I can work out, on this post I cant see any 'Smilies' all the other tabs are OK , just nothing on first tab??

Try getting things right for a first time?
(Then you don't need to edit).
