I know, it’s got its supporters and ney sayers, I’m not wanting to get into the debate about insurance wear and tear in this thread, I already have my defender re mapped stage 2 by BAS autos 4years ago in York, excellent reputation and the difference due to torque figures was like night and day, anyhow my new to me m home has the 3.0 ltr 170 bhp lump, it’s frustrating when even climbing a slight gradient, it’s pretty gutless to say the least.
I’m looking for someone who has had their Iveco re mapped (not chipped) and did it give them the results they wanted, not bothered about bhp but mid range torque and drivability, also who did the re map and would you recommend them.
Thanks in anticipation
Mark

166 bhp IVECO remap by Quantum plenty of torque, well happy.

BHP up by 17% to 195 and torque up 12% 380 to 430.

Change out of 6th...

That’s the problem, you’ve got to go from 6th to 5th speed drops dramatically, then to fourth Too many gear changes and not even maintaining speed.

Thanks Martin
Looked these lot up, seems they are a big franchise just wasn’t sure of their re maps.

If used Celtic Tuning for my Fiat Ducato 130 bhp van. They have remapped a couple of my cars too, excellent result and big improvement all round.
Work carried out on your doorstep and takes about an hr. insurance are aware and happy as long as it’s not more than 33 per cent increase in power.
Cost was about £300.00i think

I’ll have a look at them

Thanks
Mark
I used them too, 2.8jtd now 170bhp. But as my 5th gear is like overdrive I still cannot hold 70mph up a hill on a motorway when fully loaded, I can hold 80mph though.

Ive used celtic tuning and vantuner... martin who runs vantuner is highly regarded on the transit forum and worth getting in touch with...its not just transits he does..
And not just about power .. the current map im running was to delete the egr function...

We had our 2.8 jtd done some years back by Quantum at one of the shows and it made driving so much more pleasureable ,less gear changing and smooth ,also a lot more power available when required.

Another vote for Quantum, had my 3.0 Fiat/Iveco remapped by them over 5 years ago and no problems.

Just reviewing the Celtic tuning website, they offer two levels economy and stage 1, the Quantum seems to be equivalent to the Celtic stage 1 would that be more appropriate to get the best out of the mid range? Decisions decisions

Had our 2.3 done by Quantum last year. I reviewed several companies and was down to Celtic and Quantum also. Went with a quantum guy in Lincoln following a recommendation.

Good to know people are happy with their re maps, I looked at the quantum website again and realised they do two kinds of upgrades economy and stage 1, what has everyone gone for?
Cheers

I went for mid range 're map not top end. Technician suggested it and told me majority of Motorhomes went for mid range.
Top end was for boy racers and performance cars .. makes sense

Thanks

Yes sounds about right, I have a garage in Carlisle nearest to me who uses quantum, I think I’ll call tomorrow (y)
