Please can someone advise me. I had done a search and I think I have found the answer, but I would like confirmation before I go ahead.
My current set up is two 95ah AGMs, 100w solar panel, EBL30 and a LR1218.
I would like to fit either an additional 100w panel or a single 200w panel.
Can I just join the addition panel to the existing one (+ to + and - to -) or simply replace it without any further modifications?
Thanks in advance,
Vic

Yes, you can just join the panels in parallel.
An LR1218 is not suitable for AGM's, the charging voltage is too low, also it is a single stage charger, you can get away with it for Gel but I wouldn't use it with any other type of battery.

Yes, but the panel voltages need to be as equal as possible, and you need to be careful of the input voltage limit.

The manual states that it's OK for 36-cell panels (usually 9 x 4), which have a voltage of about 25V. These panels usually have much the same voltage, and can be connected in parallel.

The larger panels are usually 10x 6 cells, with a higher voltage, more like 35V, won't be suitable.

Thank you for replies. Another 100w panel it is then. Thanks again.
