Sorry Dave, I don't know where the internal fuse is, thought I was a glass fuse the back of the charging module, but have never looked inside..
What has died.. I presume it's not charging on EHU ?
mine 'died' recently, not charging on EHU and a relay was chattering loudly .. I had it repaired at Apuljack Engineering.. fast turnaround , less than a week. cost £208 inc vat p&p
Don’t know about charging Jim, but the guy is in Spain, not on EHU, went to bed all ok but in the morning no 12 volt. All fuses checked and power going in. He’s waiting for a reply from Apuljack, but being hundreds of miles away is less than ideal...
The wiring diagram in this manual might help

I think most of the fuses are on the outside but there are others on this site that know more about this than I do.

ok.. don't think it's the internal fuse.. it's on the output of the 240v charging module
If he is sure there is 12v going in, has he tried exercising the battery ON/Off rocker switch on the EBL next to the fuses ? switch off and on several times
I think there is a fuse within the internal charging module LAS1218, that is part of the EBL 99. I have never looked inside mine. I think a bit more information about what has failed or what it is not doing might help diagnosis.
I had mine charmed and repaired by Schaudt a few years ago but that was a faulty input socket and front panel switch, not a total failure. The cost, including carriage, was very reasonable. About £150 as I recall.

That sounds to me as though one of the 12v internal relays has failed, or possibly the front panel switch if that has been activated recently. There are two switch-on relays: one is activated by the front panel switch; the other by the control panel switch. Does the step still work? If so, then it is the second relay, activated by the control panel switch, that I would suspect.

This might not be the answer, but I had similar problem a few weeks ago, long story short, squirt WD40 into the main switch on the front of the ebl, then operates few times, switches ten to go dry occasionally, sorted mine, good luck

I know nothing about electrics so I give everything a wiggle in case it’s a dry joint if there is no difference then I panic?

So if I lift out the unit take the top off and spray wd40 it should stop the relay from constantly clicking.I had a similar problem with ours (2001-680) stripped it down, could find a fuse ?? All it needed was a squirt of WD40 in the switch, it’s now perfect

I did the same ,works great nowSo if I lift out the unit take the top off and spray wd40 it should stop the relay from constantly clicking.
