-Struggled to keep my water supply up because all the taps at the aires were turned off (risk of frost). I managed to find the occasional toilet with the wash basin tap working. This meant several days between showers. Just as well I travel alone.
-Lost the keys to my external lockers and hab door, so had to break the locks of the gas bottle and toilet cupboards.
-Got one digit wrong on the sat nav when traveling from one aire to the next. Had to backtrack 20 miles.
-Reversed into a tree branch just low enough to dent the very top curve of my roof/rear end.
-Discovered that my hab doorstep would no longer retract upon ignition of the engine resulting in a 200 mile drive before someone pointed this out.
-Lost my internet connection for four days.
-Forgot to pack my acsi books and card.
-Found the lost keys right at the end of the trip. Managed to fix the gas cupboard lock.

Would I do it all again?. Of course I would I had a great time.

You forgot to say ,when you arrived home

your house was burnt to the ground!

“Lost” my keys on a site in Bulgaria. Wife went ballistic, accused me of being more interested in having a beer than concentrating, had a go at me for being forgetful, getting worse etc etc.
Spent a considerable time searching the garage, I obviously opened it on arrival to get EHU cable out, searched around the hook up point, on my hands and knees, figured I might have just put them down. Searched front seats in Moho etc etc.
Wife found them, in the habitation door which of course had been opened and ”clipped” against the van. I was relieved, we had forgotten to bring the spare set which were going to be put in her handbag. Wife didn’t seem to be relieved and happy they had been found, in fact she continued to boll..k me!
Took the dog for a walk!!!!!

Bought a new tv when we got back from Spain at Christmas, as the old one packed up when we were away. We used it when we were away for a few days, & not since. I went in the van a couple of weeks ago to add a small thumb drive as an experiment. Couldn’t get any power to the tv at all - checked 12v, checked the socket, husband checked the fuses - seemed to have power to the tv, but still nothing! Actually read the manual which didn’t help, showed a standby button which I pressed a few time & after about a hour, I was going to ring Avtex to return it for repair. Then I found the power on/off switch on the side of the tv by the window……🤦🏻‍♀️

Water you say.....cemeteries I say :)

Sounds like a good trip to me.
To be fair it only rained on one of the days. Although a bit chilly at times it was wall to wall sunshine all the way.

Memories of a great trip, you overcame everything thrown in your way...a lifetime of events condensed into three weeks...let me know when you are planning your next one..👍🇪🇦😜

Considering you had a lifetime list of problems, and hopefully didn't put you off 😲 you did well. 😁

We travelled down through France to Spain every winter for 8 years before moving here, and never had a problem getting water. 🙂

Just put it down to experience and knowing where to look, 😉 it's like picking wild asparagus. 😀
First important lesson is your pace needs to slow or you won't find any. 😎 Bob.

Due to the water issues in France for this time of year, any future trips to Spain will be via the Santander - Portsmouth ferry.

Taking the easy way out...your stories will be less interesting...that's unless.. ICEBERG,🤭 Too late....
