All the gear, and no idea!
Simple noob question, I have drained down for winter, however I will be using it over new year, is it just a case of refilling the fresh tank turning the taps off, flicking the lever back down on the boiler and then turning the pump on then opening the taps on one by one? Will the boiler (alde) just take the incoming water and sort itself out? I saw in the book that the programme panel has an option for the onboard pump to purge the boiler?? I don’t have it on the menu so shall I assume there is no such pump? Elddis Encore 255.

Pretty much what I do albeit on an older system.
It can take awhile to clear the air out though.

That's pretty much it :)

Don't put the hose away until all the air in thvee system has managed to spit itself out - and the taps do spit when there is air in the pipes.

The boiler takes far more water than you probably imagine and don't forget to push the button / lever if you have a frost protection system or all the water that you spent ages putting in will drain out again.........

No such thing as a daft question but lots of daft answers!

Oh and if you fill up with fresh water the day before and it is cold overnight you might find you have no water in the tank but do have a big icy puddle under the van :)

Even if I was to run the heating in the bus overnight??

While your filling put the pump on and open a hot tap.
That will allow the water to fill the boiler and push the air out. As others have said, it will spit and splutter.

Richard.

Just about what you said. Close the boiler frost valve before filling or the water will just go straight through. Remember, the only stupid question is the one you didn’t ask.
