Dumb Newbie Question about Heating (1 Viewer)

Hi Folks,

Just want to check something please.
Am I correct that when you dont have an EHU the water/space heater has to operate on Gas ( ie doesn't work only from battery)?
Only picked up the MoHo at the weekend and seem to have forgotten bits of the handover......

Yep, just elh or gas.

Our Truma ultrastore is like that. Gas or EHU.
And fixed temp on EHU
Only gas has a thermostat

You can run it on both gas and EHU, assuming you are on EHU! Useful for a quick warmup when it is really cold. Also, you will get more heat from gas.

Just remember the heating needs a small amount of 12V power from the battery to run the control module that switches it on and keeps it going. If your battery is totally flat, the heating won't work on gas - neither will the fridge.

No one on here knew it all from day one, it can be a steep learning curve ?

Couldn’t find the reset button on mine where the manual shows it was a fixing screw still trying to find the fuses for it.

Hi Stevie and Welcome.
Just a reminder whilst on the subject of water heaters - with you living in Scotland make sure your water heater and all pipe work is fully drained down. We are starting to get early morning frosts down here in the south and normally it’s that bit colder up your way. Frost damage to motorhome water heaters is not a cheap fix.
