Hi Peeps.....before I make a big mistake, what is the damage-free way to detach the top engine cover on the Ducato, the one that covers the rocker box. Quick look in the gloom today shows it fixed on some kind of pin on the near side end. Any advice welcome. I have issues with water ingress and believe there may be water damage to one of the injectors. Many thanks for your input. Al

It simply pulls off. It has plastic pegs into rubber 'O'rings. Start at the back left hand corner . There are also some tube clipped down the side there.

Many thanks Stealaway.....dun it ! Now investigating either injector or EGR problem, both equally a money/trouble pit. Al

Hi.....serious mis-fire, following trouble with the airbag warning light and flashing mileage but no other warning signs. Filled with supermarket juice and having stayed at my sisters in place for four days of rain, misfire started on our way home two miles into journey.
Auto Sparkie got rid of airbag sign and mileage flashing (after I sent the airbag module away for rebooting/repair) but the misfire continues. Drained the tank of fuel and put in branded diesel via jerry cans.
I'm guessing it's now the injector(s) or egr valve or even main ECU. I swear it must originate from rain finding its way down under the bonnet/screen which Fiat should be thoroughly ashamed of.
Had van from new and it's been perfect for nearly six years...32000 Mls. Al
