I know the early Ducato suffered from the dreaded flaking paint problem, certainly up to about 2010 year, but when did this problem get resolved. From what year would it appear to have been eradicated. Any one suffering after 2010.

My 2017 has paint flaking off at the seams. I've been to the dealer and they've sent photos to Fiat Italy. Waiting for an answer. The warranty has expired and I'm skeptical how far I'll get with the latent defect approach. According to the dealer, the undercoat is solid and won't rust. They estimated a week for repair, which includes removing and reinstalling the windshield. If Fiat won't pay for it, then I'll either sell it or live with unsightly.

Didnā€™t know this was a general problem with Ducato, we are literally about to go and pick up our 2005 Adria Coral from the bodywork place!

Have had to have whole cab resprayed because of galloping paint flaking on cab body, under windows on doors and door jambs.

How long was it in the shop? Did the windshield have to be removed and reinstalled? What was the cost? Thanks.

Not flaking paintwork but the bonnet on both our previous Hymer 2012 and our latest 2018 have been a real issue. Bonnet going dull and yellow grinning through. Both had a ceramic paint protection at the dealers.
Led to believe as they are grp components that they have not had sufficient protection within the grp to fight off the UV sun waves. Pretty bad. On our current vehicle we will either have the bonnet ā€˜ wrappedā€™ or a resprayed and I will look to Hymer for the cost.

Very last of the 250x and there are odd bits on the roof
Extra high roof but I don't think that makes any difference.
I don't think the colour makes any difference have seen white and red ones with the same.

Perhaps they are now concentrating on inside paint work?

I have some minor paint ā€œflakingā€ on my 2019 motorhome.
