Ihave just replaced the clutch on my 2010 2.3 ducato with a solid flywheel and concentric slave cyl and although being a retired mechanic had great difficulty bleeding the system trying several different methods . A mate came to the rescue suggesting I reverse pressure bleed using the following method-connect one end of a length of clear tubing to o/s/f brake caliper nipple and other end to nipple on slave cyl open both bleeders and pump the brake pedal until no more air is seen entering the reservoir (keeping it topped up)close both bleed nipples .Hey presto Hopefully this will save a few grey hairs!

SRAM mountainbike brakes work a bit like this. Pressurise with 2 syringes, forcing fluid and air bubbles up through the caliper nipple back to the handlebar.

Interesting, does the clutch share the brake reservoir?

hi
as Roger 20 says its a similar system and people have used syringes to do this job and yes 68c it is a shared reservoir

Do you notice any difference with the solid flywheel as opposed to original dual mass flywheel?

How do you find the solid flywheel?

I have heard horror stories after converting them from DMF.

Double post, sorry SandraL. :)

sorry having re-read my message I realize it could be read in two ways but to make it clear the original flywheel was solid

Ah, thanks for the reply. At 50k miles one day clutch will need doing, I know a conversion to solid exists but was hoping someone had been before ..
