My 2010 Fiat Ducato Bessacarr conversion external temperature probe is not working.
Its one of the faults currently been looked at by the repair garage. They called me to ask if I knew where it was located.

Its supposed to be on the drivers mirror they say but its not there. I assume it has been moved by Bessacarr when they did the conversion. It looks like OEM mirrors with some extra protective plastic shields on the front of the mirror housing.

I told them not to worry as the other stuff is critical to sort. I figure the outside temp showing on the dash cluster is just a nice thing to have. But it may be linked to the ECU too for fuel'ing? Either way be nice to work rather than it saying ---

Anyone any idea if and where it would be?

I think you will find it on the LHS door mirror, Fiats being Italian the LHS is normally the drivers door mirror.

We used to have a Bessacarr and there was no temperature display. Previous motorhome was also a Ducato and did have display so I thought it was normal. Dealer said no. I was probably fobbed off:giggle:

The previous owner probably replaced the mirror with a cheap one

Our 2016 Bolero had the sensor in the lower arm of the right hand mirror as does our 2018/9 Bessacarr, I know this as I have had to change the mirrors frequently

Easy to identify. It is a little bump on the bottom of one of the mirrors.

My 2012 Bessacarr did not have the outside temperature sensor at all
My 2014 Ducato has it in the right hand mirror. The mirror was replaced shortly after we bought the van as a Spring trip around Scotland showed tropical temperatures for the trip which was unlikely as there was snow on the ground in a few places and no evidence of palm trees North of the border.

Lots of palm trees all up the West Coast of Scotland that is in the Gulf Stream..
