Ducato 130bhp cab air-con regassing

Some may use a stand alone automatic machine that will suck all gas out.. weigh it, fill with a gas to pressure test and dye to check for leaks .. if successful suck out everything producing a vacuum in system to remove all air and then automatically reintroduce correct amount of oil and gas.
That process can take nearly 1hr.

Last month I had the air con re gassed on our X250 van by a mobile air con engineer, took about 30 minutes

Just had mine done, hooked up to a machine in 2-3 mins. Whatever it did took another 20 -25 mins. Went from blowing air at only a few degrees below outside temp to 4 degrees when it was 20 outside. Cost £50. Whether it will last is another matter.

Quicker to do if there’s gas in the system to start and it’s only a top up.

Had it done this afty. €60.
Ambient temp on the 30 min motorway journey home 35deg. Had the aircon on full blast all the way and got the cab down to 21.3 deg.
So we won't melt on our 2 day journey to Galicia/Asturias

Had it done a couple of weeks ago (heatwave) at a small indy, he had 6 machines outside the workshop and a queue down the road, took about 30 mins for only £30 didn't work straight away but that was down to a fuse (got its own post on here)
