Driving down for overnight ferry nextweek. Want to set off early so no chance of missing it due to kids holidays etc. Anyone know where we can park up if we are early.

Depending on how early is early and what you want to do with your waiting time, you have options ranging from parking in the ferry port itself (normally space), taking a chance on finding somewhere along the seafront (all paid parking) or anchoring up somewhere along the top of Portsdown Hill with amazing views of the City, the Isle of Wight and beyond. Free parking plus a range of shops and places to eat.

Probably arrive around mid afternoon need to dock board at 2015
Unless its temperatures as we have now ( and it will be rammed ) go to Southsea front ( payable ), alternatively Portsdown hill..... or, I believe there is one carpark along Lee-on-solent no restrictions, unfortunately lots of car parks have height barriers now

Stokes Bay have 6 Motorhome spaces with overnight parking, just by Pebbles restaurant. Think it’s free after 6pm and minimal charges before that time, obviously will depend on your arrival time. No services but a public loo not far away.

Thanks for all your help. Looks like we are postponing with Spain maybe going amber plus or red. We dont travel until late nextweek then four weeks on the road leaves no time for wife to isolate on returning she would loose her job. So its looking like Scotland. Will make a decision at weekends. Why cant they just set a date rather than just bringing it in a short notice. The Indians had three weeks to make it home.
