I'm writing a brief article; Motorhome Ownership - Dreams to Reality. Do any of you have any pictures of Dreamy or Hell on Earth campsites I might use to illustrate the article? Or maybe you had a dream that didn't survive reality, you can post to me here or in a private message. Thanks in anticipation.

Yes it was a pop up site in Cornwall this year. It's from the Sun, the link is below the photo

Take away the tents/awnings, that first picture looks more like a camp than a site. Not that I've got a problem with camps.

Sometimes reality Aire Parking De Anglet near Biarritz - forgot it was Friday and couldn’t get out! Went for a cycle to Biarritz and came back to this. We are over on the right - somewhere.

I just do not know what to say regarding some of those images quite disturbing. My second camper was a LWB Land Rover Pop Up roof Dormabile, around 1976.
Went across Europe and the UK, rarely met another camper, what joy to remember.
Everyone has an idealistic view of the joy experienced by roaming without a venue in mind or at least I do.
Those photos of cramped sites, glorified car parks fill me with dread.
Back in my darkened room now to recover.

Sandend Beach Scotland a few weeks ago. Only van looking out to sea, the other 5 pitches empty.
Happy days.

Didn't go the the Malvern show as last year I looked at it and thought 'it looks like a housing estate on wheels' and it wasn't capacity full!!!

Booked the south west show last minute , I am starting to wonder 'have I done the right thing', went the first year I bought the van only for the day and it took me longer to get there that the time I spent there.

But I did pick up a few tips from other people when asking about solar panels (the point of the visit) it is now firmly attached to Van.

Still looking forward to it though ;)

One of my favourite wild camping spots up in Shetland (no longer accessible though).

The distance between vans is just how I like my motorhoming

Wild camping in Portugal. Don't think it's allowed now.
