I have the above fridge freezer which has the alarm and flashing blue light if the door is not fully closed. The van was used last week with no problems, the fridge has been turned off since Friday when we returned home. I turned it on today and the door open alarm sounds for 20 seconds and the blue light flashes, I have taken the switch off the door and checked and reset everything but it still sounds the alarm and light flashes. Even if I disconnect the door switch it still sounds, is this alarm used to signify any other problems? All I can find on the web relates to the door switch and people say that disconnecting it silences the alarm, on mine it doesn't.
