We have a Dometic RM7401 fridge. I can't get any lights on the front panel. Taken it out, checked the on board fuse that is ok as are the AC and DC at the board. Tried with gas no clicks, tried running the engine still no lights. Any suggestions what to try next?

Is the fuse in the PSU (EC500 ? ) for the fridge electronics ok ? If you do not have one, there is a wiring diagram in the Resources section in Motorhome technical articles for the Autotrail 2011 that may be useful . There are also fridge fuses in the EM40 unit (normally behind the drivers seat ) but they are the HC and D+ ones.

Thanks for the reply, I checked the fuse and it is good. I have all the power to the control board, and the fuse is OK, looking like a faulty board. The fridge was working OK before we put it away for the winter so was expecting a corroded joint but can't find any.

Poor ground ? There is a manual for Dometic 7 series fridges in the Manuals for Motorhome stuff section of Resources that has a wiring diagram for the fridge in it that may also help checking things out .

Double checked the ground and all seems ok. Have a got a strong 12V and 240V on the board and a good earth on the igniter. Am beginning to suspect the control board but can't explain why it was working when we wintered it and now it is not working. Did have a period when the leisure battery was flat and the solar panel would pick it up so had to take the battery out and charge it but I don't think that was any reason for it to fail.

Hi terryr, just wonder if you managed to sort your fridge problem. I seem to have exactly the same problem and was hoping that you might be able to advise me. Many Thanks

When I had this problem I found I had a bad 12V connection in the connector strip on top of the fridge. A meter was showing 12V at the board in the fridge without switching on but dropped to nothing as I turned on. As I couldn't reach the connector without removing the unit I ran a new wire and grafted it into wire at the board end. Now running perfectly however I did purchase a replacement board which I didn't need.

Thanks for getting back to me, I will check that out this evening. Cheers.

If that doesn't solve the problem I found a company on ebay that will repair the board for about £50. If they can't repair it they give you half your money back. I used them and they told me that the board had no faults that is when I went looking for other faults in the wiring. Hope this is helpful.

In the interests of all those on here who may have the same or similar fault in their fridge,
could I ask that you post on here, the name of the Company that provided you with what seems,
excellent service with regards to your board.
