Every time I use EHU the Dometic air con unit trips the electrics. I assume there is a short somewhere but unable to find anyone to sort it. Dometic referred me to various people who only supply and fit.
Any ideas or help appreciated.

Excuse the basic comments if that's how you take them but no idea what you have tried or how long you have had this or whether it has ever worked if you might have just bought the van for example.

Is the EHU bollard able to supply sufficient power to run the AirCon unit? Have you got other stuff running at the same time like an electric hot water boiler, kettle etc to exceed the bollard supply so it trips?

Is your EHU cable in good nick? Particularly the plugs and sockets at each end?

Was the AirCon unit in the van when you bought it or have you added it? If added then go back to the supplier/fitter.

If you are trying to run it from an inverter is it up to it?

Apart from checking all the connections are good I think you will need to find someone as Dometic suggest.

There is a Dometic specialist in the Midlands who is very good and I could try and find the details if required. You can go there and they will attempt a diagnosis

Ours was doing that too - eventually I tracked down a loose connection in the electric hookup cable, which only seemed to be a problem when the A/C load was put through it.
