Got a problem with our Dometic fridge rm 4231.

It cools very well on 12v and 240v, down to 1 degree this morning on 240v but it will not cool on gas.

In fact yesterday when I switched the fridge on it wouldn't cool down at all on gas, switch to 240v it cools very fast, within an hour there is already frost in the freezer compartment.

I have switched it back to gas this morning and the temperature has steadily climb this morning, up to around 10 degrees a few minutes ago.

I checked yesterday that there was no blockage in the gas jet, burner, or the supply pipe, cleaned the flue and the wand in the flue is clean and moves freely.

The gas flame is blue and is about 4 cm tall on the highest gas setting.

Any ideas of why it is not cooling on gas?

How old is it ? It could need a re gas. Probably need to see a refrigeration specialist. We had one a few vans ago.

Its in a 2007 Twin. It work very well on electric though, so the cooling system works.

it just seems that not enough heat is getting into the system from the gas

Might just want a good clean and service on the gas side, I had a problem with a caravan once when the gas pipe to the burner was rusting inside and all the little rust particles virtually blocked the gas jet, took it all apart and got a nice little pile of dust out.

I took the burner and jet off yesterday and they are not blocked, don't think they were before I took them off, there is no blockage in the pipe near where it enters the jet although there could be further up I suppose

Did you give the burner a good blow through the airways around the outside? after that "I am out" sorry.

Yes but I didn't have any compressed air.

Thanks for the suggestions though
