Hi folks.
The left hand burner on my Dometic double burner hob burns noticeably more intensely than the right hand one.
Is this normal?
Cheers in advance.

My 3 burner job has one smaller but I do get a difference between the other 2. When this happens I remove the burner top, 2 screws, it’s usually rust causing it. It’s strange only one top does this.

Cheers. It's a new hob so shouldn't be rusty. I am looking for advice on whether or not it's normal before I go back to the dealer.
Cheers

Can you check the spec of the hob on Dometic site.

If you are comparing two burners of the same size they should burn in an identical manner. There should be no yellow in the flame of any burner.

Perhaps the less intense one has a slight blockage in the jet.

As mentioned above, remove the 2 screws (you'll need a T6 torx bit) in the top plate. Then unscrew the jet and blow through with compressed air.

Thanks. I reckon I'll just go back to the dealer and wait for the ' it's supposed to be like that' response.

Before you go to the dealer, carry out a simple experiment.

Boil up a known quantity of water and time how long it takes. Repeat on the other burner under exactly the same conditions. At least you'll have some concrete evidence to present to the dealer. If the colour of the flame is different between burners (should be blue) then it's probably debris in the jet. This can happen even in new appliances.

Flame colour is the same. One goes like a jet engine, the other is clearly less strong. About half the flame size.

Ok. So I did this and it turns out the output for the burners is different. Should've done this before posting here. Cheers Manic. Common sense always prevails. Funny how the mind works when you find a 'problem' that annoys you.
