There is medication ... what we used to do though is construct a dark "secure place in the lounge or the quietest place in the house for one of ours to use. They have an indoor kennel now under the stairs that's the safe place

For now swaddle him in a makeshift thunder shirt. It might help.
Thunder blanket? We have a pink crochet blanket we have wrapped him in
And Jay is next to him

I've heard putting music or tv on louder also helps as it's a noise they are used to

Quite lucky so far jade doesn't seem bothered by them.

Personally I'd ban the things totally or at least only on November 5th

They have them for everything these days

Put on music or Radio 4, sound of voices usually helps a dog relax.
If he likes being groomed you can try brushing him. Close all curtains so there's limited stimuli.
My daughter used to give her last dog rescue remedy as she was scared of fireworks, worked well and you just need a couple of drops in their mouth. You can put the drops on your finger and rub on the dogs gums so it'll be absorbed quickly.

I’m always surprised that it bothers our dog, she is a working spaniel and got excited by the sight of my shotgun let alone actually going shooting. She loved working and being next to a line of guns was her best days, she hates the sound of fireworks!
