This is in our Burstner 690G and looks as though the cut-outs have a purpose but if so we can't work out what. Does anyone have some ideas?

Yep, coffee pod store, normally only fitted if the coffee machine option is fitted.

Bit of a concensus developing here ..... thanks folks. Is there a Burstner 12v coffee machine (Dometic maybe)?

Nope, they normally fit a 240v one and if you want to use off grid you will need an inverter.

I use a capsule machine at home for coffee, but in the motorhome I use a stove top mocha pot, which is what most Italian families use.

Useless bit of Burstner bullshit - guess where mine is now?

At least the Burstner shoe horn was useful for every body.

Actually, it was fitted to all , irrespective of any coffee machine option ;) we have one fitted , rather it was something else or more useful
They look ugly especially if you don't like pod coffee, I prefer a decent cup of coffee.

At least you have some small shelves (spice rack?) to the right of the coffee capsule holder. Others I have seen have nothing - just a large chunk of blank (metal?) Seems ridiculous.

Are they for very big keys
