Discounted Lithium Batteries

In my hunt for a 100Ah lithium battery, I found that Sterling Power have discounted 100Ah and 120Ah Batteries.

These batteries are brand new but have been opened up to install the bluetooth BMS and as a result have a white band on them when fitting back together. The warranty period is reduced to 3 years from 5 but for £550 instead of £840 I think that's a pretty good deal. Plus with the bluetooth BMS I no longer need to buy the victron smartshunt I had my eye on too

Good find at good price. Bluetooth bms is good for individual batteries, the smart shunt is for the hole system. The later can do much more.

This is true. I am only looking at one battery due to space/need so should work for me. Granted I won't see the starter battery but I can live with that vs. paying for something else

Seems an odd sales tactic, cut up a good battery, add a Bluetooth BMS then sell for cheaper with reduced warranty! I wonder if they were modified for a specific third party, the deal fell through so now they need to shift them. Still too dear, lead acids are still a good buy.
