The Reversing Camera died last night, but this happened on the same day that I had blown the motor fuse on the drop down bed after absent mindedly leaving my finger on the 'raise' button and trying to squash the bedding beyond its physical limit! Replaced the Bed Motor 20A Fuse and all works as normal. I cannot see any markings on the Electroblok 99 that relate to a fuse for the camera, but before I buy a replacement unnecessarily, does anyone know if there is a dedicated or 'piggyback' fuse that covers both the camera and other circuits. If anyone can tell me the fuse rating, I can at least eliminate the fuse as the problem and accept that it was just coincidence that the bed and the camera failed on the same day.

Cheers.

My camera, an aftermarket fit I think but before my time, has a fuse near the camera. It's piggybacked onto the circuit for the lights on the underside of the drop down bed (A class). I would follow the wires back from the camera. This is never easy from my experience but once you know the cable route it is easier next time!

PS Kreis 1 and 2 on the EBL are often the light circuit but I expect you would know if they don't work.

Thanks very much, Paddy. 12v lights all OK. The Burstner Bed Fuse [2A + 20A] sits in a wee 'box' panel accessed through the lounge window [!]. The underside of the bed is fully enclosed and has 4 LED Lights for the main lounge area illumination. Having said that, the Bed had the wrong fuse [underpowered] in the Elektroblok and I blew 2 fuses when the m/home was delivered until I found out the correct fuse rating. Yesterday's moment of stupidity was the first time that I had blown either of the fuses in the bed unit itself. The circuit has 20A Fuse [or 25A; need to check] in 'Reserve 3' Elektroblok and then a 2 fuse block in the bed itself [2A + 20A] referred to above. These are now sound and the bed works fine. I'll take a poke around the Elektroblok and see if there's a dead fuse lurking!

I cannot see where the camera cabling run has been installed. It runs behind the bathroom wall so uncovering it will be a real challenge [not one that I fancy because of the risk of damaging the fascia of the boards etc].

I'll post the outcome later after a poke around!

Update: I tried to remove the radio unit to check the camera cable output but there is no shifting it; it looks like it's been kicked into position with a size 9 boot and will not budge, even with the aid of the removal release metal prongs. However, during the course of trying to wrestle the head unit free, the camera display suddenly reappeared, but if I pressed firmly around the edges of the screen, I could make the image disappear. Since refitting the final surround trim, even if I press firmly around the edges, the image remains stable, so there must be a slightly loose connection that my shoving has 'tightened' up again! I've tried the camera 6 or 7 times, switching ignition on and offf each time and then prodding the edge of the display to try to make the image disappear, but it remains quite stable. So, I'll leave the camera alone just now [the image is the best it's been since I bought the m/home, which perhaps suggests a slowly loosening connection that yesterday's journey over the Cart Tracks of Fife's B Roads shook too far/much. I'll need to get the connections at the back of the radio head unit checked and remade, but that can wait until I can find someone who can extract the unit successfully or until Fife Council use tarmac for repairing potholes instead of for reducing road widths ...

I checked every fuse in the Elektroblock and they're all perfectly fine. Pointless exercise, but also reassuring in a strange sort of way.
