Van conversion
Hello all,
I've converted a few vans into MHs and am currently faced with a mechanical issue. The ex ambulance I'm working on has been taken off its air/hydraulic suspension by its previous owner and put back on the regular leafs. But on the dash there's always been a orange message 'Check suspensions'. No real warning light but those words plus a picture of a can with an arrow pointing at the rear suspension.
Mot coming up now, so I'm suddenly thinking, is this going to be a problem? There's no malfunction on the suspension as such, just the message, which the former owner assured me is not an mot fail as its not a real light. I've tried my obd reader but it won't delete this as I don't have a really fancy reader (despite it costing quite a few quid).

Does anyone on here have any ideas?
I'll ad a photo of the dash.
Best, Jackie from Edinburgh

Hi and w2f

No real idea but guess the original suspension was part of the original build and as such is linked to the ECU. Guessing again, the only way it could be cleared is by having the ECU re-flashed.
But, somebody with a lot more knowledge than me will be along shortly and can maybe help.

Think I would have left air suspension in place had it been mine perhaps there was a reason for removing it? You should be able to find someone that can reset the ECU fairly easily though have you asked your local garage if they can?😊

<Broken link removed>

Above link is to a firm that replace original air suspension with their own kit.
Maybe they know how to remove the warning message?

They may even have removed it to reuse on a new ambulance😊
