Currently in Spain stopped to fill up and when setting off "passenger airbag disabled" light was flashing also noticed green cruise on lamp was not working although cruise was, after approx 50 miles the flashing light went off and the spanner light came on (cruise green light was also working) it also appears when this happens that the rear fog on indicator lamp was also not working. My first thought was F53 fuse but yhis and others all seem ok. Any electrical wizards about?

This is my fusebox under the dash drivers side and the page from my handbook as you can see I have more fuses than the diagram.

csd4t The fuse box that Stealaway has shown is for the later X290 series , your one appears to be for a X250 series , The problem you have could be a poor connection on one of the the multi-plugs on the front and rear of the fuse box/body control module/dash control unit and it may be worth checking they are fully home. (I do not know what the extra row of fuses on the left side are for , unless they have been used by the converter)
The earth cables , engine to body and battery to body , have also been known to cause strange electrical problems on these vans , when faulty , and it would be worth replacing or adding new ones to rule them out as a possible source of the problem . (you could try using a jump lead as a temp. earth cable to see if it helps)

Yes 2009 x250, thanks I'll do some poking around tomorrow, do you know where the earth body to engine is?

I think it may be underneath onto the gearbox but sometimes an extra cable have been added under the bonnet (the original cable can look ok but the cable to terminal crimp connection is often where the problem can be, as I under stand it )

Tried the earth jumplead thing, no different. Tried disconnecting earth from starter battery for a short while, no different, tried connections to what I think is the body control unit no different. Did have the bulb failure light on for a while (all bulbs checked ok) but gone off now. Hopefully I can get it home to be looked at. Any Ducato wizards in Yorkshire apart from Northern Commercials?
