We were looking forward to travelling to Denmark in August for 2or 3 weeks the first time after covid but now with this awful atrocious attacks from Russia do we know where it is going ,we are now hesitant, we pray for those in Ukraine and hope it can be resolved .We are waiting a little longer before making DEFINATE plans ,what are your thoughts ?

As John Barrett, at out age we've lost two precious years and can't afford to lose more. We've booked Stena Line to the Hook and Smyril Line to the Faroes from Hirtshals for August, that's in the car. We're also planning Norway in the Motorhome maybe in late May to give us time to get back for the Faroes trip.

Nobody can answer that question. Plan your life but be prepared for last minute adjustments. The true answer lies between "It will all be over by August" and "We'll all be dead by then" and we'll only know that answer when August arrives. Don't put your life on hold for what 'might' happen :)

We’ve got stuff booked and I’ve just booked a trip with darling daughter. I intend to hope for the best but plan for the worst so good travel insurance, flexi tickets, free cancellation up to the last minute wherever possible.

I don’t have a crystal ball and I don’t know anyone who has. I’m desperately sorry about the situation in Ukraine and fearful of how it will progress of course like any other sane person.

Scenario in the Sunday Times where Putin let an A bomb off in Sea between UK and Denmark.
That even makes Benidorm seem attractive!

Terrible situation in Ukraine. Pray it will be over soon.

Norway in Late August. Will change plans if need to. The world has spent too long these last two years 'um and ahhing'.

Life changing medical events put things into perspective, over a despot magalomaniac's actions.

I worst case scenario I cannot envisage Denmark being in Putin's sights, anyway to get there he would have to take on Poland, Germany and the whole of NATO first and he will not have the cash to do that. Also Russia did not treat the Poles and the Germans very well during and after WW II.

I think you should just go ahead.

Well he could just drive into Finland and Sweden then Denmark is a short hop! Allegedly he has already threatened the first two.

It depends where you go. I wouldn’t be going to Estonia right now,but I’d be happy to be in Portugal.

If i didnt travel last week, i wouldnt have seen my son for the last 2 months, i wouldnt have also seen some beautiful italian towns, garda, etc etc. If Putrid goes tonto then i still have that.

Put it in the f&*kIT bucket and live. Youll probably be safer in spain and portugal anyway if he goes gung ho (less military targets).

We are going. And some good news we have been told that they have dropped the price for us and added 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners for us. So have saved £200 . as well. Happy days.
