Hello everyone.
My family (2 adults, two boys ages 13 and 10) is doing a cycling tour of Mallorca in early July and then we're heading to Superbagnères in the Pyrenees in time to see the Tour de France finish stage 14 at the top on 19 July. We had planned to get a ferry from Mallorca to Sete and train from Sete to Montrejeau-Gourdan-Polignan but Corsica ferries just informed us that they won't run that route this summer so we need to go to Barcelona instead of Sete. The problem is this: Spanish trains won't allow un-disassembled bicycles onto their trains! We thus have a 250-km Barcelona-Narbonne leg that looks almost impossible with bikes. We don't want to disassemble them because the extra luggage of bike bags will be too much for our touring plans.
Might anyone be driving up from Barcelona to at least the French border on 16 or 17 July who would be willing and able to take 4 bicycles (and a bike trailer if possible)? We could get the train and meet you at a station. We are of course happy to pay for this service.
Thanks!

Good luck with that, but if you saw the amount of stuff most people have in their garage you would guess there is rarely any spare space for one bike let alone four.

Thanks for the good luck wish - I realise I'm going to need it!

Very unlikely most Motorhomes touring Spain will not have any capacity for that sort of of load or the payload & very few have towbars.

Good luck with the cycling and the trip as it sounds amazing.

I honestly don’t think anyone, even with the spare load capacity or space would be willing to transport your items, I’m sorry to say I wouldn’t, as you’re complete strangers, all be it sounding lovely, but being a mule for goods is what gets a lot of folk in trouble. Have you thought about plugging a haulage firm, as many are doing the route you need and plenty of spare load capacity as well.

Pinkies crossed for you 🤞🏻
