I'm a newbie
Hi will be going into Norway have been having a look at the amout of alcohol we are allowed is the borders strict or open to a bit of leeway.

They never checked when we visited (4 times via Hirtsals).... Perhaps just as well they didn't.

We've entered Norway three times. Twice there were no border checks (entering from Sweden at different points). The other time was on departing the ferry from Denmark. We were stopped and asked what we were carrying but not checked!!!

When we caught the ferry from Denmark to Bergen the only vehicles stopped were local ones who I guess they suspected had been on a shopping spree

When driving up the west coast of Sweden into Norway they had the motorway closed diverting all vehicles via customs, you had the green or red lane same as the airports. We drove into the green and at first one female Norwegian customs officer waved us to the side, just asked if we were enjoying our holiday and wished us well.

Thankfully as I had a few units over the allowed.

Thanks for your replies that makes me feel better.(y)

We entered Norway from Finland (been to see Father Christmas!) and as far as I recall there wasn't even a border post 'cos I was looking for one to declare the dog!
