Current alternative to Canterbury P&R

Just in the chaos that is the Eurotunnel, delay on journey back to the UK by over 3 hours, which means we won't be able to access the P&R at Canterbury for overnight as we won't get there until after 9pm. Could anyone offer any current alternatives please?

A bit late now, but I'd have said head for Walmer/Deal, it's only 10 miles from Dover, it's flat,it has lots of nice wide roads with sea views and loads of food choices

If it's just overnight and not off route Ashford , look for the market ( cattle market) the road on the estate has no restrictions and flat. In fact a couple of road there will suffice.
