Hi all,

Took our van out for her maiden voyage of 2021 down to Cornwall for a self sufficient week away on a campsite and disaster struck on the first night, stepped into the shower and *CRACK*.

Managed a temporary repair with duct tape to get us through the rest of the week but worry about the rest of the tray and the longevity of my “fix”.

Feels like it may be a common issue as vans get older, but worry the fix would be expensive. Any advice? Are the shower trays particularly difficult to remove / repair / replace? Or any better tape type solutions than duct / Duck tape I could use instead for something more permanent?

You can get them fixed and then rubber coated by a company called speedcoat. Excellent service and guaranteed work. Not cheap at £350 ish, but far cheaper than a new tray. They will fix, then reinforce, then spray in a colour of your choice.

Thanks, I’ll check them out!
